On Rock - Thrift Store
“The latest development for On Rock will be our new thrift store! Thriftit, is under renovations at the moment. It is in the same building as the food bank, but a store front. It will have new and gently used clothing and accessories. We will keep you posted. FYI, we are not collecting clothes yet, but hang on to your stuff, we will be collecting soon.”

On Rock Community Services assists the “invisible poor” of the West Island
through a few essential programs.
A Food Bank, through feeds approximately 300 families in need, every Monday.
Their School Lunch Program provides 120 sandwiches a week for needy children in seven local community French and English elementary schools. For many of the children, this may be the only meal they get on some days. They provide lunch and recess snacks that are healthy.
Each Tuesday, from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm, the On Rock Community Diner provides a healthy meal to low income families in the West Island. They provide simple meals that are healthy such as spaghetti dinners, chili, casseroles, etc.
Westview has entered into a deeper two-fold partnership with On Rock: specifically, our first goal is that once a month, a group connected with Westview (Bible study, group life, young adults, youth, or other) would commit to preparing the meal and evening program for the Tuesday On Rock Community Diner. Second, we are wanting to have a regular roster of volunteers to assist at the Food Bank with the packaging and or delivery of the weekly food baskets on Mondays. We are excited to be part of the ministries of On Rock as they care for those in need in our community.
